‘You Care’ and we want you to know ‘You are not alone’. You may be a Family Member, Friend or Neighbour, and may not even recognise yourself as a Carer…..
You are Mum, Dad, Brother, Sister, Family Friend or Neighbour.
The care you give is motivated by love and compassion, which can be fulfilling – though the emotional and physical demands upon you, can be draining and stressful.
Every Carer faces an individual situation, but when Carers meet together, feelings shared may be the same – you may be experiencing anger, depression, exhaustion, fear, guilt, isolation or even resentment…You share a common factor. Your role is a valuable one, it is priceless, especially to those you care for, therefore your well being is paramount and taking regular time out for yourself can enable you to cope with the often roller coaster road of Caring.
A wide range of Carers information is available, with occasional guest speakers and social activities, for those wishing to participate. A quiet room is also available for those who wish to discuss or share anything privately, or who need guidance with benefit applications. A warm welcome awaits you at your Carers Cafe from the ‘Caring 4 You’ team.
